What are the most effective IAQ solutions available for commercial buildings?
|
|
As there may be several different sources leading to complaints in your building, HBIA Certified Inspectors are trained in taking an investigative approach. They will ask questions, visually inspect interiors and mechnical systems, review complaints and previous reports, perform sample testing and compile the information to help determine the sources of contamination and provide remedial protocols specifically for that property.
This may include, resolving ventillation problems, installing an Oxygen Therapy System to kill and sterilize molds, bacteria, viruses or other indoor contaminants, implementing an IAQ management plan and/or sterilizing interiors and HVAC mechnical systems.
What Is An "Oxgyen Therapy System"?
HBIA has researched, field tested and recommends the "Oxygen Therapy Systems" as an environmenally friendly, effective and affordable solution to sterilize and kill mold, bacteria, viruses and other IAQ contaminants throughout the indoor environment.
The OTS units create a multi molecular form of oxygen, which oxidizes indoor contaminants that may cause adverse health effects in individuals working in areas with poor indoor air quality. This system will also help prevent future outbreaks of mold growth and other IAQ contamiants, throughout the entire building after initial remediation has been performed.
This approach is similar to Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), in which a purer form of oxygen is introduced to a medical patient in a pressurized chamber to kill bacteria and assist the natural healing process for a variety of medical conditions. This approach has since been adapted for improving Indoor Air Quality and eliminating Sick Building Syndrome.
HBIA also provides training and certification for businesses to effectively utilize these specific IAQ technologies and solutions to resolve IAQ problems and "Sick Building Syndrome". This training program includes the development and implementation of a Healthy Building Management Plan to help your company detect, resolve and prevent mold and IAQ problems that can lead to SBS.
